Wherever possible BF Component Solutions Ltd will advise our customers to use a standard fastener or a component as close to a standard part as possible. This will both reduce the cost of the piece part and aid availability for samples and bulk supply.
We offer a complete review service, where we look through our customer’s usage and advise where best to offer standard parts. We also rationalise the variety of more bespoke parts in an effort to increase volume and reduce potential exposure to redundant stock through obsolescence and end of production.
It is important to assess the application in all cases to ensure that any offered substitute part is suitable. If BF Component Solutions Ltd is involved at the design stage we can generally suggest a carry over part or an available standard where effective. If a standard part is not applicable BF Component Solutions Ltd has the experience and capabilities to help our customers design the most cost effective solution.
